about
The second single "Get What You Give" off the upcoming EP from Northern Royals produced by Gggarth Richardson is uplifting, powerful and also calming at times allowing listeners to get lost in the song. The aggressive vocals are some of the best off the EP and are sure to please. Influenced by the album Young Beauties and Fools from The Glorious Sons the song is filled with feeling, personality, and emotion. When paired with the video you can really feel like you were right there in the woods at The Farm Studios with the band. It's written about having an open mind and being able to admit fault, show humility, and change for the better. Something we all can relate to in today's new normal.
lyrics
Got to put em down, I never wanted to fight
Got to put em down, yeah, they’re taking the night
Just a bunch of kids and we always talking shit, try to take away the vibe by saying that we hated it, realize that it’s all in my head.
You get what you give
I never knew what it meant
Got the feeling again, the sky is the goal at hand
Yeah, you get what you give
As the band comes on they starting playing their songs
Start to criticize everything that’s wrong.
Just a bunch of tracks and none of them attack, how’d they even get the gig when the crowd can’t attach, and it realize that it’s all in my head
You get what you give
I never knew what it meant
Got the feeling again, the sky is the goal at hand
Yeah, you get what you give
Here we go, button up and we’ll stay all night
Here we are, light it up and we’ll see ourselves
I got the feeling tonight
If you’re feeling the love, raise your hands
It’s just the feeling you get, the sky is the goal at hand
I never knew what It meant, I’m starting to get what it takes to start again
It’s just the feeling you get, yeah you get what you give.
